The Enneagram and Emotional Intelligence

How many times have you reacted to a situation – perhaps with anger, defensiveness, or instant sermonizing – and asked yourself later, “Why did I do that?” We all have a default setting, an autopilot, designed to protect us. Unfortunately, that same protection often blocks us from connecting with others, maximizing our protectivity, and creating environments where growth happens (our own and others, too). In this training, we are going to look at the Enneagram, not just as a powerfully accurate personality system, but also as a roadmap to Emotional Intelligence (EQ). We often talk about EQ as a vague goal, and in this training, we will explore how to get there.
