The goal of the Southwest Louisiana Professional Development Institute is to provide ongoing education, resources, and skill-building opportunities for professionals to effectively identify and respond to issues such as domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, and human trafficking, promoting stronger collaboration and support for victims across Southwest Louisiana and beyond.
The SWLA Professional Development Institute is a one-day training designed for professionals, including Law Enforcement, District Attorney’s Offices, Professional Counselors, Social Services, Educators, and beyond, which will focus on the critical intersection between domestic violence and human trafficking and address risk factors of dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking, to strengthen collaborative efforts to support victims and prevent exploitation.
